KW Automation is a 100% owned Australian company located in Palmwoods, some 100 kilometres North of Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast in the state of Queensland, Australia. Originally established in 1980 as KW Engineering, the companybecame KW Automation in March 2004 and comprises of a team of professionals dedicated to customer service providing the most advanced technology available to the fruit handling sector.

Core activity is the manufacturer of fruit handling equipment, particularly fruit grading machines, and peripheral equipment.

Research and development is aimed at providing end users with practical user friendly quipment. However, focus is on enhancing equipment capability and technological levels. R & D concentrates on maintaining the company’s international lead in automatic grading technology and development of related equipment. This includes: roller spray units, creepfeeders brush polishers, bulk bin tippers, wash units, drying tunnels and dip units all required in a fully integrated post - harvesthandlingline. R & D success in the design and manufacture of grading equipment has been epitomised through the purchase of this equipment by many companies throughout the world striving in an attempt to maintain pace with the ever increasing and changing face of competition.

Development of the circular fruit weight grading range of machines has led to this equipment becoming the industry standard in Australian post-harvest fruit handling industry. Accuracy is provided by a unique 4 point linkage system utilised on all weight graders in the K W Automation range and gives great flexibility to handle most fruit types. The small grower, the specialist grower and the largest of organisations within the industry are all catered for with the full range of either circular or in-line weight graders. Development of peripheral equipment has proceeded apace with the range of graders and the grower now has the option of individual units or a totally integrated fruit processing line. K W Automation has as it’s goal the ongoing provision of high technology equipment, end user service and support to the domestic and international post-harvest fruit handling industry. New designs and enhancements to the current K W Automation range is integral to achieving this goal.
